Longan Tips

- They have high rates of respiration so that if they are not stored carefully they can have a very short shelf life deteriorating easily and quickly within a few days at room temperature (25ÂșC).
- Member says that last year he sprayed a Sri Chompoo Longan which had never flowered before and a Mata Kuching (which had only flowered once) with potassium chlorate and they both flowered and fruited although the Mata Kuching had very few fruits. This year they are both flowering on their own. Has anyone else had this experience? Could also be the very dry winter and spring they had.
